COOKIE MAN: a bloke who baked a biscuit

Part memoir. Part cookbook. All Cookie Man.

COOKIE MAN is the story of how I somehow went from performer, songwriter and theatre-maker to the bloke in Margate with a cookie for a head.

There’s music, theatre, disability, homelessness, starting businesses, getting things spectacularly wrong, picking myself back up and starting again. More than once.

It’s really a story about making things — and what you do when the thing you thought you were making doesn’t quite turn out the way you expected.

And then you get the cookies.

The second half is the cookbook: around 40 recipes, including my seven core cookie doughs, Cookie Man flavours and all sorts of extras, including my infamous bullshit buttercream. Nothing unnecessarily complicated. It’s basically how I bake at home and at Cookie Man, written so you can do it too.
